I think a LOT of us come to this realization at some point and we are HORRIFIED (I know I was, lol), honestly, because of what we allowed and put up with, BUT I think we NEED it, because it's when a lot of us also realize we need, want, and deserve better. And we raise our standards and learn to keep them raised, but the sad thing is, these are, or should be, normal standards. And when some men say it's "too much", what they mean is, they want you to struggle and put up with crap because they do not value you enough (and they often don't value themselves, either, because your future wife/wife is an extension of you, so if you don't think she deserves much, you must think that about yourself). And that should make any woman RUN away.

This resonates with me so much. I work retail Tuesday - Saturday. Saturdays my kids are with my family and Sundays are the days I spend with my kids. My Mondays belong to me and anything I feel like doing that day. I don’t receive financial support from their dad and I was finally approved for daycare funding for my son (2) and my daughter starts Prek at an elementary school in August. This will clear a full paycheck for me and I’m so excited about it. My plan is to save for a newer car with a lower interest rate because my score has gone up tremendously and save the rest to go back to school next fall and a down payment on house. It was definitely a long time coming and I can’t write all the things I’ve gone thru in my relationship but by the grace of God I have prevailed and my prayers are getting answered. I am also launching a floral business in the process and I’m just so grateful and full of gratitude. So glad I watched this.

Awesome video!! I just became a single mom of 5 youngest below 8 months. I am getting stronger everyday, I take things by moments rather than days. I already work so I’ve had some financial independence for a while and have a career. I’m learning to take care of everything including some DIY stuff. But there are people I can ask. 18 years with one person is a long time! I’m looking forward to my future self and I’m so proud of who I am in this moment. I KNOW at almost 40 what I want from a future spouse is so different from my 21 yr old self!! I’m excited about my future and building a new love story.

I’m not a single Mom, but I like to listen to different topics. I’m married, but what I consider soft life is making time for self care. I don’t believe luxury items = soft life. Taking time for yourself is SO IMPORTANT!! It helps me show up as a good mother and wife.
